Highly recommended vespa tour!

On our trip to Florence my friends and I saw advertisements for the Tuscany Vespa tours. Lucky for us, we all had our driving license, so we decided to try it. It was sooo much fun driving around Tuscany countryside on a Vespa. Our guide Giuseppe was very patient, showing us how to drive it, and he took us all around the Chianti region. We made a stop at Lucolena, and it's the most beautiful little village you can imagine. We also got to taste wines at some typical Tuscan wineries. I can highly recommend the Vespa tour!

Agnieszka
La Dolce Vita Tour in Tuscany

I'm a huge fan of old movies such as The Roman Holiday and La Dolce Vita, so the Tuscany Vespa tour was literally the first thing I did when I came to Florence. The skies were clear, and it was a perfect day to live out my fantasy. Driving a Vespa across the stunning Tuscan countryside has made my stay in Italy truly memorable. During the tour we went to Castellina in Chianti for some wine tasting, and I even bought a few bottles to take home. Life can really be sweet sometimes!

Tuscany Vespa Tours

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR VESPA

After you meet your tour guide, you'll be taken to the garage at Badesse, where the scooters are located. Your tour guide will explain and show you how to drive a Vespa. Before heading out to the Tuscan countryside and hills, you'll have a chance to sit on a Vespa and do a test drive. Your tour guide will be thorough with all the safety procedures, and they'll be by your side every step of the way. You will also be provided with a helmet to protect your head. After you familiarize yourself with the Vespa, it's time to hit the road and discover the Tuscan countryside!

STOPPING AT SEVERAL LOOKOUT POINTS

During the Tuscany Vespa tours, your tour guide will take you to several lookout points so that you can take in the beautiful views. These will be places mainly close to hilltop medieval towns such as Fonterutoli, Croce Fiorentina, Castellina in Chianti, Cavallari, Colle Petroso, and Radda in Chianti. From here, you'll be able to snap some amazing photos to post on your social media and show to your family and friends!

CASTELLINA IN CHIANTI

One of the stops on your Vespa wine tour of Tuscany is the Castellina in Chianti. It's a small town between Florence and Siena that dates back to ancient times when the Etruscans first settled the area. Rich in history and known for its high-quality wine and olive oil, Castellina in Chianti has several wine estates. In one of them you will have the opportunity for some wine tasting. Enjoy the views of Tuscan hills, its vineyards, and olive groves, and relax. As you sip different vintages, your tour guide will tell you all about the process of making wines and the history of vine-growing in this part of Italy. Did you know that Chianti wines date back to the 13th century? During the Vespa tour, you will learn many fascinating details about the Chianti region.

DRIVING THE STYLISH VESPA

As you're driving a Vespa across the rolling Tuscan hills and hidden valleys, you will have an authentic Italian experience. Vespas are considered elegant and cool, and many Italians use them for their daily commute. They are lightweight, which makes them easy to maneuver, but they also provide good stability when handling the handlebars. This stylish vehicle will give you a sense of freedom and fun, especially as you drive it around the charming Chianti region. Did you know that Vespa was first made world-famous in 1953 by the film The Roman Holiday? It features Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck riding the Vespas all across Rome. Sales of Vespas skyrocketed after Audrey Hepburn won an Oscar for best actress.

After a fun day exploring Tuscany on a Vespa, take it slow the next day and enjoy the region’s flavors – join our popular wine tour from Siena and visit some of the best local wineries.

Did you know that Tuscany is Vespa's birthplace?

By booking the Tuscany Vespa tours, you'll be able to drive it across the region where it was invented and manufactured to this day!

You probably know Tuscany for its wine and olive oil, picturesque Tuscan countryside, and cities such as Florence, Pisa, and San Gimignano. However, Tuscany does have an industrial tradition as well. A prime example is the Piaggio factory located in Pontedera, which has produced Vespas since 1946! Did you know that Vespa means wasp in Italian? The name was coined by the factory's owner, Enrico Piaggio, because the design reminded him of a wasp.

Book the Tuscany Vespa Tour, try the delicious wines of the Chianti region, and enjoy driving the iconic Vespa through Tuscan hills!
